PEATC presents this virtual workshop series for parents and professionals who want to learn more about special education in Virginia. Register once to attend some or all of the informative workshops!
April 24th – From Referral to Eligibility – This presentation takes you through the reasons for evaluations for special education services, timelines that are in place, and the all-important Eligibility meeting. It also covers the steps of a re-evaluation and the parental right to an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE).
May 1st – Anatomy of an IEP
May 8th – Measurable IEP Goals
May 15th – Ins and Outs of IEP Meetings
May 22nd – Dispute Resolution Options in Virginia
Each workshop will start at 6:30 pm and will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
