Entrenamiento para Intérpretes de Educación (Comprensión de la Educación Especial)

¿Es usted un intérprete de habla hispana en el estado de Virginia? ¿Trabaja en entornos educativos con familias hispanohablantes y les ayuda a superar las barreras del idioma mientras navegan por el sistema de educación especial? 

Si es así, a PEATC le gustaría invitarlo a una capacitación virtual en vivo y completamente GRATUITA de cuatro horas dedicada a capacitar a intérpretes sobre el proceso y el vocabulario de educación especial. (PRESENTADO EN ESPAÑOL)

Esta capacitación ayudará a los participantes a aprender los pasos del proceso de educación especial. Los asistentes obtendrán una comprensión básica de la Ley de Educación para Individuos con Discapacidades (IDEA) y se familiarizarán con el desarrollo de Programas de Educación Individualizados (IEP). Examinarán las partes individuales de un IEP, discutirán la función de cada parte y examinarán cómo se combinan para crear un documento eficaz. La capacitación incluirá una revisión en profundidad del vocabulario de educación especial.

Los participantes que asistan a la capacitación en su totalidad recibirán un certificado de finalización por cuatro horas presenciales de esta capacitación BÁSICA y seran elegibles para la capacitación AVANZADA en el otoño.

Are you a Spanish-speaking interpreter in the state of Virginia? Do you work in educational settings with Spanish-speaking families and help them overcome language barriers as they navigate the special education system? 

If so, PEATC would like to invite you to a FREE four-hour live virtual workshop dedicated to training interpreters on the process and vocabulary of special education. (PRESENTED IN SPANISH)

This training will help participants learn the steps of the special education process. Attendees will gain a basic understanding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and become more familiar with the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). They will examine the individual parts of an IEP, discuss the function of each part, and examine how the parts come together to create an effective document. The training will also include an in-depth review of special education vocabulary.

Participants who attend the training in its entirety will receive a certificate of completion for four contact hours of this BASIC training and be eligible for the ADVANCED training in the fall.
