Families of Students with Disabilities Information Night / Noche de Información Familias de Estudiantes con Discapacidades

Do you have a child with a disability? Do you need help understanding special education and/or transition to adulthood processes? Do you have questions about IEPs?

Join Delegate Carrie Coyner and PEATC for a Family Information Night and have your questions answered.

The event will be held for families of students with disabilities who live anywhere in Region 1.

There will be breakouts so you can choose the topic(s) you most want to learn about.

The breakouts will focus on:

• Early Childhood
• Transition IEPs/Self-Advocacy
• Entering the Adult World
• Collaboration, Disagreements, and Parent Rights
• and Special Education and IEPs (in English and Spanish).

In addition to our breakout sessions, PEATC will be available to answer your individual questions and schedule follow-up meetings with you!

We hope you will join us for this opportunity to learn more about the supports that can help your child navigate their educational journey.

¿Tiene un hijo con una discapacidad? ¿Necesita ayuda para entender los procesos de educación especial y/o transición a la edad adulta? ¿Tiene preguntas sobre los IEPs?

Únase a la delegada Carrie Coyner y PEATC para una Noche de Información Familiar y obtenga respuestas a sus preguntas.

El evento se llevará a cabo para familias de estudiantes con discapacidades que viven en cualquier lugar de la Región 1.

Habrán grupos de trabajo para que pueda elegir los temas que más desee aprender.

Los grupos de trabajo se centrarán en:

• Primera Infancia
• IEPs de Transición/Autodefensa
• Entrando al Mundo de los Adultos
• Colaboración, Desacuerdos y Derechos de los Padres
• Educación Especial y el IEP (en inglés y español).

Además de nuestras sesiones de trabajo, PEATC estará disponible para responder a sus preguntas individuales y programar reuniones de seguimiento con usted!

Esperamos que se una a nosotros en esta oportunidad para aprender más sobre los apoyos que pueden ayudar a su hijo a navegar su viaje educativo.
