From Referral to Eligibility (Fall Workshop Series)

PEATC presents this virtual workshop series for parents and professionals who want to learn more about special education in Virginia. Register once to attend some or all of the informative workshops!

Each workshop will start at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. These sessions will not be recorded.

• September 25, 2024 – From Referral to Eligibility: This presentation takes you through the reasons for evaluations for special education services, timelines that are in place, and the all-important Eligibility meeting. It also covers the steps of a re-evaluation and the parental right to an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE).

• October 23, 2024 – Measurable IEP Goals
• November 6, 2024 – Ins and Outs of IEP Meetings
• November 20, 2024 – Dispute Resolution
