Sibling Roles and Relationships

This presentation will share information about the roles and responsibilities of siblings of children with disabilities. Attendees will learn about strategies on how to best support siblings of children with disabilities from a panel of siblings who will provide the benefit of their experience. The audience will gain an understanding the key of sibling issues, learn how to foster a positive sibling experience, and become more aware of the sibling support movement.

Zach Rossetti, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Special Education in the Wheelock College of Education & Human Development at Boston University. Dr. Rossetti’s research focuses on social interactions and friendships between students with and with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
