Back-to-School Family Engagement Workshop Series

PEATC, in partnership with Taking Action for Special Kids (TASK) and Tazewell County Public Schools, presents this virtual/in-person workshop series for parents and professionals who want to learn more about the power of partnerships. Registration is required for both workshops.

Both trainings are available for in-person attendance as well as online via Zoom.

Creating relationships between parents and schools, which focus on engaging the families of students with disabilities, has a positive impact on students. During this interactive workshop, participants will explore their personal definition of “family engagement” and how both parents and professionals share in the responsibility for the success of their students.

• September 17, 2024 | 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Your Voice Matters

Family engagement is more crucial now than ever. In this interactive workshop, participants will be empowered to recognize the value of their expertise and contributions to family engagement. Attendees will explore their personal definition of family engagement and learn effective strategies for advocating for their children. Practical tips and techniques for maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with their child’s school will be shared.
