Stephanie Hoover

Family Support Specialist - Region 2

Stephanie Hoover resides in Seaford, Virginia, though she was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. In 2010, she married her husband, Robert, who served as an active-duty soldier in the Army. Together, they have two children: a son and a daughter. Stephanie pursued her studies at both the University of South Alabama and Old Dominion University.  Stephanie’s advocacy journey began around 2013 when she sought to understand special education to support her son, who was diagnosed with Autism and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Later, her daughter was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and dysgraphia. Through this experience, Stephanie discovered her passion for educating others about special education.  For over a decade, she has dedicated her time to volunteering and advocating for families. Notably, she has served as a regional parent representative on the Virginia State Special Education Advisory Committee and as a board member of the Virginia PTA. Stephanie’s dedication to supporting families and professionals in the field of special education continues to strengthen each day.
