Educational Power of Attorney

Through an Educational POA, students can state in writing that their parents (or other trusted adult) can participate in meetings, review records, and make educational decisions for them. The student must be competent to provide informed consent to the POA. This means that they must understand what they are signing and why. The POA applies only to educational decisions. A competent adult student can revoke (cancel) or change the POA at any time.
