Solving Disagreements and Appealing Decisions – Overview

Even the best teams sometimes disagree. Emotions can take over and sometimes the family and/or student may not agree with the services and choices presented by others on their team or by an agency working with them. The best way to resolve disagreements is to have an open mind, listen to others’ ideas and work toward agreement. But sometimes that’s not possible. That is why federal and state laws provide dispute resolution and appeal rights.
