Ombudsman for Special Education

Ombudsman for Special Education -The Ombudsman is a designated neutral party housed within VDOE who supports a fair process and provides confidential, informal help to parents, guardians, advocates, educators, and students with disabilities. The Ombudsman is a resource in non-legal special education matters. The Ombudsman does not take sides on an issue, but rather focuses on providing information, communication strategies, and helping to develop plans to address concerns.
